One of the best things I like about Steam is that I know no matter what happens with my computer, I can always download the game again. I don't have to worry about finding a disc or seeing if the disc isn't damaged. I can be sure that any issues I have with my computer, I will always have a copy ready to download and install from Steam.
Gearbox has
announced that they will be supporting Steamworks with
Duke Nukem Forever so that once you tie the game to Steam, you can have a digital copy on hand and ready to go for installation. Nothing else was said about it so far, but I'm hoping for some cloud features such as saved game storage as well as settings.
I'll be reviewing the game on the PC so I'm pretty happy that Steam's going to be the way to go.
