Sony has just given gamers another reason to get excited about their upcoming
PlayTV DVR application. In an
interview with Eurogamer, Marc Bunting (the producer behind the software) has stated that PlayTV will record the shows in the MPEG-2 format and will allow gamers to move the files from the PS3 to a memory stick and out of the system. This means you could record shows on your PS3 and then transfer them to your PSP/Ipod and watch them anywhere. I just hope we get PlayTV in the US at some point in the future as this would mean I could probably ditch my Media Center PC.
