It looks like the
pointless/baseless class action lawsuit over the recent downtime of Xbox Live is going to cause the company to
prevent the company from updating customers on the state of the service. That means no more twitter updates from Major Nelson or any of the other Microsoft community members. I can't say I blame them as I'm sure the Twitter and blog updates from Microsoft staff are going to be entered as evidence in the trial and they don't want to do anything that would damage their side of the argument.
It's a bit frustrating as people (myself included) are still having issues with the service. I can connect, download, and play games against other people but it still takes some time for the data in some of the blades to load. I know that adding 1 million users in a month adds a lot of strain to the service but the service has been flakey for over three weeks now and there still isn't a solution in sight. Hopefully they can get the situation (and the lawsuit) resolved quickly.
