It looks like CompUSA has finally
given up the ghost and will be shutting down for good next year. Last year CompUSA closed half of their stores (including the two here in Columbus) in order to try and stay viable but it looks like that didn't work and they will be shuttering the rest of their stores within a month or so.
I have mixed feelings about this because while it's sad to see another dedicated computer store shut down, shopping at the store was never a pleasant experience. Between the over priced products on their shelves and the dodgy sales support it wasn't a great place to buy stuff unless they had a sale going on. Oh well, I guess it's time to pour a 40 (of Bawls) on the grave and move on with our lives.
