For Honor, the action knight/samurai/viking mash-up fighting game, is getting a cross-over with Destiny 2 to celebrate Halloween. The Light of the Guardians event began a few days ago and runs through mid-November, introducing the Cathedral as a battle arena and the frightening Scorn that haunt the walls and halls within. While the Scorn are not strictly a ghoulish class in the Destiny universe, they are themselves the theme of and primary antagonist in the latest Episode in Destiny's ongoing live service. I do note this event has me a bit "curious" because as far as I can tell Destiny, despite hosting many crossovers of it's own previously like Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and the Witcher among many others doesn't seem to have any For Honor content incoming of its own. It's also curious because Destiny has it's own Halloween event incoming... two whole days before Halloween. So good on For Honor for reading the room and actually giving its players adequate runway to ramp up on a holiday themed event to the actual holiday; rather that just dropping it right on the holiday's big dumb pumpkin head.
During this event Destiny themed weapons will drop as in-game rewards and other Destiny themes items are available in For Honor's in-game store. There is also a Community Order in play rewarding all participants with Steel and XP boosts depending on far the community is able to progress the order.
The Light of the Guardians runs through November 14th. More about the game that over 30 million players have tried and the event itself is on the official site: https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/for-honor
