VITURE teases the new Neckband

VITURE has some pretty awesome AR glasses that we've taken a look at. The VITURE Pro XR is one that I recommend to anyone that always asks which one they should pick up. They have a great ecosystem of products. With the release of the Pro, there was one item that hasn't been given the Pro update yet: the Neckband.

The Neckband is a wearable Android TV like device where you can install various streaming software. Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime are a few of the apps you can put on and use the Neckband to watch videos instead of using your phone. This makes it so you don't have to drain the battery on your phone and if you are in an area with Wifi access.

Gaming is also great with the Neckband and it came with software to allow you to stream from both an Xbox Series X|S and a PlayStation 4|5. Pair a Bluetooth controller and you can play your console games on a large virtual screen using a pair of VITURE AR glasses. It was truly a fun experience.

There are a few problems though. The current Neckband ran older Android 32bit OS, so some apps might not be compatible. Another is it gets loud with the built in fans, even when it's in quiet mode. Although you probably won't notice it too much when watching a show or playing a game, it can be heard during quiet periods of activity.

Finally, the Neckband has a super short battery life for what you want to do. During my testing, it lasted just about 2 hours, which is OK, but definitely on the short side. I'd like to have seen it to be 3 or more, which would encompass the longer movies out there and some good gaming time before having to recharge.

VITURE has talked about a Neckband Pro in passing and it looks like it might be unveiled soon. On the VITURE subreddit, they posted this one image below and it's definitely the same shape as their Neckband. They are touting no noise and no heat, which we'll have to see what they've done to accomplish this. It also looks like there's a camera on it, so maybe there will be some tracking capabilities. We'll have to see which SOC they use and how long it can last on a single charge, but I'm excited to see what the Neckbrand Pro has to offer to compliment their already awesome AR glasses.
