The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be getting a new season of content starting soon and one of those updates is a new game mode and today we got our first teaser for the mode. Called "Rush Week" this new game mode will take place after the events of the main game and will star family member Johnny.
The only details that were release so far is that unlike the main game mode that is 3 family members vs 4 victims, Rush Week will be Johnny vs 6 victims. The description says this will also be "a new way to experience Texas Chain Saw Massacre" so I imagine this game mode may play differently from the normal mode.
If you listen to the news broadcasts that play on the radio during the loading screens, one of those mentioned an incident which a man in Texas snuck into a Sorority house, strangled and murdered a woman, then attacked her roommates before fleeing. This seems like this game mode will be about that incident, which I think is very cool in terms of world building and the fact that they are seemingly continuing the story of the game beyond the Maria is Missing story of the first year
No word yet on when this mode will be released but details should be coming soon.
