Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer gameplay is aiming to thrill

More On: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

There’s no lengthy blog post, no developer walkthrough, nothing of the sort to coincide with today’s new Call of Duty: Blacks Ops 6 news – and it doesn’t need it. Nay, today’s multiplayer reveal trailer speaks for itself, and looks like we are in for one hell of a time. The big-ticket item this year is omni-movement, or the ability to dip, duck, dive, and dodge in whatever direction your heart desires. This new movement system looks to create opportunities for some truly thrilling gameplay moments – at one point in the trailer, an operator slides backwards (and on their backside) down an escalator banister while firing their weapon.

The multiplayer trailer, which you can check out below, also offers glimpses at the weapons, maps, and gunsmith system in Black Ops 6. Perhaps one of the best things about this year’s multiplayer is the fact we are getting 16 all-new maps at launch, as opposed to remastered versions from CODs of yore. We won’t have to wait long to see more of the game in action as Call of Duty: NEXT is taking place August 28th at Noon Eastern Time.
