Extraction shooters are still having a moment, even well into 2024, but there is a new one preparing to enter the fray in 2025. Developer Sharkmob revealed the first bit of gameplay today from its third-person open-world extraction shooter Exoborne, which is launching next year for PC and consoles.
The gameplay gives us our first taste of the look and feel of the game, including exo-rigs and their powerful abilities, gunplay, traversal, and the role of extreme weather in this post-apocalyptic United States environment. The Unreal Engine 5 title appears to be progressing nicely, based on what we can see in the trailer. Sharkmob also announced that they will be hosting a closed beta test in the near future, with interested players able to sign up on the Exoborne website.
