Yes, you read that right. No typos. No mind tricks. Respawn has officially announced that the follow up to Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be coming to last gen consoles, a whole year and a half after it appeared for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. They promise to have it fully optimized for the PS4 and Xbox One "maximizing the hardware capabilities". The game looks phenomenal on PS5, so it would be cool to see it on previous consoles. The PC version will receive another update, to improve it's technical performance, and other quality of life improvements. If you haven't played it, I fully recommend it. I also wonder if you already own it, will you automatically get the version for the previous consoles, or if you buy it, will you be able to upgrade later.
If you recall, I went to the event last year in California to see the new game, and the experience was amazing. There's so much I want to say here, but maybe it deserves its own article. My colleague Elliot reviewed Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, giving it a 9, saying that the game "is the good Star Wars." I have to agree. I'm going to go get beat down by a Rancor again. Just for nostalgia purposes.
