After teasing us earlier this week, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has shared the first gameplay footage of Zombies mode for this year’s iteration. Black Ops 6 is returning to a round-based structure for Zombies, playable solo or with up to four players in co-op. At launch, two maps will be on offer – Terminus, set in the Philippine Sea, and the town of Liberty Falls, West Virginia. Treyarch says a big focus of BO6 Zombies is to make its main quest more challenging for veteran players, but they also want to keep the door open for newcomers by adding a Guided Mode in the middle of each post-launch season that holds your hand a bit more. They believe that this will preserve the thrill of the hunt regarding the Zombies mystery and easter eggs, while not gatekeeping new players.
Zombies will also include Omnimovement, the big feature being pushed for Black Ops 6 that grants players complete freedom of movement. Other fan-favorite features will also be included, including GobbleGums, weapon customizations, progression across all modes, and more. The one new feature that is most appealing to me is the ability to now play in third person, which sounds dope.
