More On: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

I don’t know how else to say it, folks – Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 looks amazing, full stop. Thank goodness we are only a month away from the third-person shooter’s release, because the more I see of it, the more I want to play it. Today, publisher Focus Entertainment shared an extended look at the game’s multiplayer modes, both co-op and competitive, which you can view below. The PvE co-op mode, called Operations, sees a squad of up to three players take on missions together as you absolute demolish some enemies. Eternal War is the PvP mode that lets you take the fight to other human players. No matter what mode you dive into, six playable classes are on offer – Tactical, Assault, Vanguard, Bulwark, Sniper, and Heavy – with progression carrying over between the modes it sounds like.

Space Marine 2’s launch next month is just the beginning, with extensive post-launch support planned, including new Operations missions, PvP maps, enemies, and weapons all being added as free updates to every player. Season passes will add additional premium cosmetic items to let you spruce up the look of your Space Marine.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launches September 9th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players who pre-order the Gold or Ultra Editions gain access starting September 5th. Either way, that’s far too long to have to wait to chainsword some fools.
