Ubisoft announced today during the Limited Run Games showcase that Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition is real and is releasing June 25th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Amazon Luna. A physical edition and Collector’s Edition are also dropping on July 12th through LRG.
The award-winning action-adventure game has been given a makeover featuring up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, autosave functionality, cutscene skipping, and cross-save across platforms. Beyond (ha!) the under-the-hood changes, the 20th Anniversary Edition also includes a new speedrun mode, 20 new achievements, and more. Perhaps the most interesting addition is the inclusion of a new mission that creates a narrative thread with Beyond Good & Evil 2 – the long in development sequel that was announced more than a decade ago.
