Rumors had been swirling for a couple of weeks now that a Star Wars Outlaws release date was imminent, and now, we can put the speculation to rest. Ubisoft studio Massive Entertainment announced yesterday that the third-person open-world title will be launching August 30th across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna, and PC through Ubisoft Connect. The game will come in three editions – Standard for $69.99, Gold for $109.99, and Ultimate for $129.99. The two premium editions will come with a season pass that grants access to two DLCs, three days early access to the game, and a smattering of digital items.
In addition to the release date announcement, Ubisoft also shared a story trailer for the game, detailing protagonist Kay Vess' journey through the criminal underworld of the Star Wars universe. Kay is running from a bounty on her head when she is given a chance at freedom by executing the heist of a lifetime. From there, she sets off to gather a crew and resources necessary to pull off the job.
Honestly, I am not a big Star Wars fan, but this looks great. And I’m always down for a new Massive Entertainment experience. Check out the new trailer below, or peruse the game’s various editions available for pre-order on your preferred marketplace.
