Now this is a game that looks right up my alley. Sumo Newcastle and Secret Mode have announced Deathsprint 66, a what they call "on foot racing game where contestants compete to entertain a global audience of bloodthirsty viewers".
We didn't see any gameplay from the reveal trailer but the dystopian cyberpunk setting looks fantastic and I love the whole Running Man type gameshow look of it as well. The press release states this a racing game on foot where contestants will have to avoid hazardous obstacles like "buzzsaws" "perilous leaps" and "other contestants".
These type of futuristic bloodsports have always interested me with Smash TV, Blast Chamber and Monday Night Combat being some of my favorite games of all time so I will be keeping an eye on this one.
Deathsprint 66 is coming to PC later this year.
