Developer Ironwood Studios has announced that its supernatural driving survival game Pacific Drive is launching February 22nd for PC and PlayStation 5. A physical Deluxe Edition of the game will also be available later next year and include a smattering of both physical and in-game goodies.
For the uninitiated, Pacific Drive takes place in the Olympic Exclusion Zone, a walled-off area in the Pacific Northwest contaminated by mysterious supernatural phenomena. You get behind the wheel of your fully customizable station wagon and venture out to the OEZ to discover its secrets and record your findings. As you explore you will gather resources, traverse rough terrain, and survive dangerous encounters with whatever is lurking in the Zone. Try to survive and return to base to repair and outfit your car with the proper gear for another run as you progress deeper and deeper.
I’ve had my eye on Pacific Drive for some time now, so I’m thrilled to see it dated for early next year. I can’t wait to hop in my station wagon and head out into the Zone. Check out the brand new release date trailer below:
