Yesterday, at Gamescom Opening Night Live, developer CD Projekt Red revealed a wealth of new features and gameplay improvements coming to Cyberpunk 2077 alongside its Phantom Liberty expansion. The best part is that several of these new features will be added to the game for free when Phantom Liberty releases on September 26th.
The list of changes is extensive and includes a new Relic skill tree with powerful new abilities and perks, a new location called Dogtown, dozens of new missions, dynamic events, new weapons, a revamped cyberware system, new vehicles, improved vehicular combat (with rocket launchers!), and an overhauled police AI system. Honestly, it is a lot of new stuff, and it all looks very cool.
The Phantom Liberty expansion is a spy thriller story starring Idris Elba as sleeper agent Solomon Reed, and of course protagonist, V. Phantom Liberty and the 2.0 title update with the load of new features will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC when it launches.
