EA Sports FC has had a mobile app for a few years now, but to be honest all I've ever used was the FUT companion app to load up auctions or open packs while on the go. Mobile is always a tricky experience to pull off when your game was build for controller support. Looking to drum up a player base, EA is offering a special title of "FC Mobile Founder" for anyone who picks up the game in advance of the September 26th release as part of the Founders Event, which runs the month prior, starting August 24th.
So basically what we have here is EA's FIFA franchise is transitioning in a rebrand to Sports FC because they didn't want to keep paying FIFA for a license they deemed they didn't need after FIFA tried to jack up the licensing fees. So if you're playing FIFA Soccer mobile right now, then that app will automatically become EA Sports FC Mobile come launch day. And if you play the app the month prior, then you're hooked up with the Founders title. Founders is more than just a title, as it will also reward some in-game rewards at launch as well.
