The 2015 side-scrolling run-and-gun romp known as Broforce is getting a final and expansive update from developer FreeLives across all platforms on August 8th, and at long last, publisher Devolver Digital will bring the game to Xbox Game Pass that same day.
The update is known as the "Broforce Forever" update and features an expanded campaign with new unlocks, six new bros (characters for the uninitiated), four new challenge levels, and bug fixes. The update will be free for all owners of the game. New bros include the cleverly named Seth Brondle, Xebro, Desperabro, Broffy the Vampire Slayer, Bro Gummer, and Demolition Bro. There are also a number of new enemy variants to contend with in your fight to protect freedom, from exploding motorcyclists to missile-launching blimps.
I've already re-downloaded the game in preparation for this entirely proper farewell to one of my favorite indie games of all-time. Check out the new trailer, bro:
