We played the Online Stress Test of Mortal Kombat 1. It's a beautiful game for sure. You get to choose one of 4 fighters in Kitana, Sub Zero, Kenshi, and Liu Kang (Fire God). They also come with their Kameo fighters, which are assists, and versions of their old variants. You get Sonya, Kano, and Jax. Each character's entire move and combo list was available. There is something pretty cool added. If you "teabag" like the toxic person you are, your character taunts instead, and you cannot get out of this until the taunt is complete. I loved this the most.
The game feels slightly slower than Mortal Kombat 11, but combos are definitely in full effect. There's also a meter to do enhanced moves, and you can break a combo with your Kameo assist. The Assist can do their own assortment of moves with a directional press, and there are other moves available for them with different button combinations, though simpler than your own move set. As you view your move set, you can do an enhanced view, so you can see it's properties, including frame data and block damage. The fatalities are BRUTAL, and you have access to all 7 of them. The online was pretty easy to set up, as matchmaking was just a one button and go. Check out the video below, and watch this site for the next info on the next beta before it releases on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, and XboxSeries September 19th.
