Today we got our first look at gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1 from Summer Game Fest and yup, it's Mortal Kombat alright in all of it's bloody glory.
We got our first look at the new "Kameo" system where you can call in fighters to help in battle. From the trailer it looks like they can be called in to do special attacks which can help extend combos but it also looked like they can perform team Fatal Blows and we even saw what looked like Kameo's being able to perform Fatalities as well.
We also got a bunch of character reveals with two characters joining the roster in Johnny Cage and Kenshi and classic characters like Kano, Sonya and Jax in their MK1 and MK2 outfits. It does appear that some characters can be both on the playable roster and can be Kameo's as well but we dont know yet how much cross over between the two there is going to be.
