Last week NetherRealm Studios announced Mortal Kombat 1 and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The announce trailer was just a CGI trailer so MK fans are anxious to see this game in action. Well we won't have to wait long to see gameplay.
Geoff Keighley announced on Twitter that the world premier of gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1 will take place at Summer Game Fest on Thursday, June 8th.
The one thing I really hope they show off during the presentation is the new Kameo system as it's been a cause of concern amongst the community. As of now we don't really know how this system is going to work or if characters who are Kameos are also playable on the main roster. It would be a shame if certain characters like Cyrax, Sektor, Smoke, Ermac, Reptile, who haven't been playable in 8-12 years are reduced to only assist characters in the game.
Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19th 2023 for PS5, Series X, PC and Nintendo Switch.
