Announced back in the fall, Demeo has finally made its way to Sony sytems, releasing this week along with the PSVR 2 launch for both VR and non-virtual play on the PS5. Demeo is a table top RPG. Although native to VR, having released as such two years ago for PC, it can be played both ways - immersed over the table in VR or transposed on screen using the standard game controller to make your moves. The game is cross-buy, so one purchase gets you both versions.
Up to 4 players can play, with online multiplayer an option, and take the helm of 7 different heroes across 5 adventures. We've got a review upcoming so keep an eye open for that, but the PC version was well received and hopefully the PSVR will follow suit. This is also one of those games where rather than fly about the world you're mostly hovering over a virtual table in VR, and might be a great pick up for those, like me, that struggle with VR. I wrote about that a few days ago, but unfortunately there is no demo for Demeo. I guess that's why it's not called Demo-eo... Missed opportunity but at least I got a good pun out of it. The game is $40 and you can find it right on the Playstation Store: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/demeo/
