Things are starting to wind down now as people head back over to GameStop to get in line for their copy of
Halo 3. Here's the last batch of notes from tonight.
- No matter what gaming event you go to, there's always somebody with a DS playing Mario Kart. Wondering if this is a new rule or something
- Always fun watching people pick up a new game, even if it's an evolution of something they've played before.
- The concession stand at the Drexel closes at 10:30, which is bad if you go looking for something to eat at 10:45
- Flying the banshee is harder than it looks
- The new Elephant vehicle is also pretty kick ass, can see that being a lot of fun in team matches
- One person pilots the wraith the other gets in the turrent, this is cool only when they are on the same team....not sure it makes much
sense otherwise
- Flamethrower FTW - very awesome to light somebody up - close range only. Best implementation since Return to Wolfenstein?
- Gravity Hammer - very cool weapon with nice distance effect
- seems like a lot less dual wielding
- Level design is fairly top notch so far and the new levels are actually pretty solid
- Rocket launcher doesn't lock on (turret one does though)
