A couple of us here at Gaming Nexus are excited about the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy. I, for one, am still waiting on my admission letter to come by owl, any day now, I’m sure. Last week I learned that Simon Pegg is voicing the headmaster for Legacy, what a great pick in my mind. While I sit and wait for the February 10th release date Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software, have released a new cinematic trailer to help kill some time. The trailer, titled "The Invitation," gives fans a glimpse of the world of Hogwarts Legacy, immersing them in the castle grounds and beyond and extends an invitation to players to become a part of the magic and live out their dreams of attending the school of witchcraft and wizardry.
The trailer follows an owl carrying the coveted invitation as it soars across the castle rooftops and over the heads of students in The Great Hall, providing an overhead view of some of the iconic Hogwarts locations that players will be able to explore in the game. Fans will recognize familiar names and faces, such as Nearly Headless Nick and Professor Weasley. The owl's journey also highlights some of the hidden dangers players will face, such as giant spiders in the Forbidden Forest, a deadly blast of Avada Kedavra from a masked wizard, and a dragon's fiery breath. Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to launch worldwide for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 10. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will launch on April 4, and Nintendo Switch on July 25.
