Due to a lack of chips and
PCB boards Nintendo is not going to be able to expand their Wii generating capacity this year. This is a huge blow to Nintendo and it means that people are still going to have a hard time finding Wii's for the foreseeable future. The news is especially bad given that Nintendo has three first party titles (
Metroid 3 ,
Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and
Super Mario Galaxy) all coming out between now and the end of the year. You do have to wonder why Sony can find a new supply of Blu Ray diodes while Nintendo can't find components for what is essentially a last gen system with a new controller.
