Dragon Quest Treasures was released at the start of last month. I was unsure if I wanted to jump into the title; I usually have a lot on my plate, even when even December is slow for video game news and releases. But fortunately, I no longer need to be worried about dropping money on a title I’m unsure of. Square Enix has released a free demo for the recently launched game on the Nintendo Switch. The demo lets players experience the beginning of the game and follow the childhood adventures of siblings Erik and Mia as they search for the seven fabled Dragonstones. Players who finish the demo and decide to purchase the full game will also receive five Better Buddy Bullets to aid in their journey.
In Dragon Quest Treasures Erik and Mia as they embark on a journey through the mysterious world of Draconia. The duo will be joined by their companion creatures, Purrsula and Porcus, and a team of recruitable monster pals in their search for treasures. Players can use these monsters' unique abilities to discover hidden treasures and reach otherwise inaccessible areas. They will also have to defend against monsters and rival gangs until the siblings can return to base to get their treasures appraised. Collecting treasure increases the players' vault value, allowing them to expand their home base and further build up their brigade of friendly monsters.
Dragon Quest Treasures is available now for the Nintendo Switch. Those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive a copy of the game, three monster allies – Great Sabrecat, Ruby Golem, and Icy Dragling – as well as batches of Bestest Buddy Bullets and Omniheal Bombs.
