Fully hand-drawn side-scrolling Metroidvania RPG Afterimage was announced to be releasing on April 25th at yesterday’s Nintendo Inside the House of Indies event. It is developed by Aurogon Shanghai and published by Modus Games, which is bringing it to Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
Afterimage follows an amnesiac girl named Renee, who undergoes a journey to uncover the truth of what happened to her land following a cataclysmic event known as “The Razing”. She will battle mystical forces and defeat challenging bosses as she explores the dangerous world of Engardin. It will include more than 200 pieces of equipment to collect, six different weapon classes, and various abilities to unlock.
