Meta Quest 2 gets a little more CPU power

Developers love more performance and the Meta Quest 2 is getting a small uplift. Meta has announced that there will be a 7% more performance uplift available for those that write software for the VR headset.

To achieve this, the Quest 2 is getting a CPU clock increase from 490MHz to 525MHz. Some apps and games will be able to take advantage of this automatically without any code changes necessary. But those working on new software can know now that have more wiggle room to play with in terms of performance.

It's a nice holiday present to those who develop on the most popular VR HMD out there currently.
