Slick Metroid Preview
To get gamers hyped about the impending release of Metroid Prime 3, Nintendo is offering a free preview channel for the Wii menu. I pulled it down and checked it out, and while it's a bit sparse now, more goodies should be added in the following weeks. There are a couple of videos and some concept art at the moment, and news about Metroid classics on the Virtual Console. It looks like we'll be getting the original NES Metroid on August 13th, for the usual 500 Wii points, with Super Metroid for the SNES following on the 20th, for 800 points. I'm glad Nintendo is actually going out of their way to hype Prime 3, and that their ad campaign is tailored to the game and hardcore gamers. Those goofy "Wii would like to play" ads just wouldn't be appropriate.
