Funcom announced today that their upcoming MMO
Age of Conan:Hyborian Adventures will be delayed until March 25th, 2008. Funcom is pushing the release back in order to focus on "honing, polishing and improving the heralded qualities of the game, ensuring a fantastic MMO experience when it launches next spring".
While I'm a disappointed that the game is slipping to next year it does mean that the game doesn't have to compete with everything else that's coming out this year and it means that we will be getting a much better product when it ships. I really liked what
I saw at E3 and I think a combat focused MMO is going to be a nice change of pace. The game is still taking
applications for the open beta if you're really gung ho about playing some version of the game this year.
