This is an interesting analysis. One
analyst suggests that the reason for the delay of
Grand Theft Auto IV is due to complications coding for the PlayStation 3 and this delay caused the 360's version to be delayed because the contract states Take Two cannot release the 360 version before the PS3 version. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a clause to state that one version should not be released prior to the other but if the notion that programming for the PS3 caused the delay of the Xbox 360 release, one wonders if Microsoft would be open to such a clause again or vice versa. Could the development on the PlayStation 3 platform be such a hassle? It's not the first time we've heard this before but there has been reports, albeit fewer of them, saying the PS3 wasn't that hard to program for.
