Squeenix celebrates five years of Final Fantasy XI

by: Randy -
More On: Final Fantasy XI
Has it really been five years since Final Fantasy went online?  Yep, and to commemorate blowing out five birthday candles on a chocobo-colored cake, November 15 - 17 holds a three-day celebration for Final Fantasy XI in Anaheim, California.  This event is limited to 1,500 pre-registered attendees (so head to the festival's official website to register and grind out more information).  This birthday, marked with plenty of gameplay events for the attendees, is a simultanous coming-out party for the next official expansion, Wings of the Goddess

In related news, former GN Editor Charlie Sinhaseni -- no, we can never truly let him go *cough* -- has become a full-on cosplayer to complement his work as a Square Enix PR rep.  He'll officially be at the Wings of the Goddess festival in a homemade Mithra outfit.  Rowr.
