The official The Game Awards Twitter account posted that Naoki Yoshida, the producer behind the upcoming highly anticipated Final Fantasy XVI, would be announcing a very special live presentation at the 2022 Game Awards. The show takes place on Thursday December 2, 2022 at 4:30 PM PST / 7:30 pm EST and fans can tune in at thegameawards.com and other streaming services.
In other news, Final Fantasy XVI was also rated in Brazil today for ages 16 and up due to Sexual Content, Sensitive Themes, and Violence. The newest entry in the Final Fantasy series stars protagonist Clive Rosfield, as confronts he various humans who have been cursed with the power to become Eikons. A release date should be announced before the end of 2022 (which may be what this special presentation is!) but Final Fantasy XVI is coming to PlayStation 5 sometime summer 2023.
