There were rumblings that
Halo 3 would feature four player co-op play, which would've been pretty cool. Now, Computer and Video Games has
info from the latest issue of EGM that online co-op isn't happening yet. The magazine interviews Frank O'Conner from Bungie and he states there are some design challenges in trying to do co-op. The first two games had co-op but only for split-screen folks. In fact, that's how I played the first two Halos campaign. I say I'd be pretty disappointed if they didn't put in online co-op play when the game is released. There's a possibility though that if the game doesn't ship with co-op play that it will be a download later on to add it. With the various 360 games offering co-op play such as
Gears of War and the upcoming
Army of Two, it would be a shame if we couldn't finish the fight with a friend in
Halo 3.
