GameDaily has
confirmation from a retailer that the PlayStation 3 is dropping its price by $100 to $499. If it does indeed happen, you can bet that's what Sony's going to lead off with at their E3 press conference. July 12th is the magic date and the Sony press conference takes place a day before. In my opinion, it's about time they did this and we'll see if Nintendo or Microsoft will do anything to answer the price drop. $499 is an easier pill to swallow but it still might be a little bit too pricey for most. As the console gets lowered by $100, I finally get my $100 credit for buying the PlayStation 3 with the Sony credit card.
