Star Trek Online: Ascension, a new update for free-to-play MMO Star Trek Online, is out now on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Ascension includes a number of real-life Star Trek actors portraying characters in new missions, including Wil Wheaton from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Mary Wiseman from Star Trek: Discovery, and Chase Masterson from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

NEW FEATURED EPISODE
In the brand new featured episode, “Eye of the Storm,” players need to assemble a fleet to stop Emperor Wesley Crusher from gaining control of the powerful entity known as The Other. Captains must team up with former enemy-turned-ally, Admiral Leeta, to put an end to the Terran Empire’s plans that threaten both universes.

NEW TASK FORCE OPERATION
The newest update introduces “Storm Chasers,” an exciting new ground Task Force Operation that sends Captains to the main chamber of The Other. Players must gather in groups of five, where they embark on a mission to disrupt the Terran Emperor’s connection to The Other before they reach Earth.
SPECIAL EVENT AND NEW REWARD
From today, November 1st until December 1st, Captains can play through the newest content to earn a brand new reward - the T6 Terran Somerville ship.
ELITE OFFICER UPGRADE SYSTEM
This brand new game feature allows players to purchase a token, which can be applied to any bridge officer in their crew to upgrade their abilities.
