PlayStation's London Studio announced today that they are developing a new online fantasy co-op action game for PlayStation 5 and shared the project's first bit of concept art.
The unnamed project will be developed on London Studio's internal Soho Engine, which was used on its virtual reality titles VR Worlds and Blood & Truth. Although there was no mention of a PC release for the live service title, an alleged leaked PlayStation development document from earlier this year refers to London Studio developing a service game codenamed Camden for both PS5 and PC. It would come as a surprise if it were also not headed to PC, as even PlayStation Studios boss Hermen Hulst recently suggested that the company's live service games would come simultaneously to PlayStation and PC.
Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, co-studio head Tara Saunders said the game is the developer's most ambitious title yet, and features a fantasy version of modern-day London with magical elements. Fellow co-studio head Stuart Whyte added that the project was green-lit over other ideas after ranking high amongst both PlayStation leadership and video game players who contributed to an anonymous poll.
