Bethesda Game Studios announced today that post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 4 will get a next-gen upgrade in 2023, nearly eight years after the game’s original release.
The update will be free to current owners of the game and will include a quality graphical mode with support for 4K resolution, a performance mode for higher frame rates, and additional Creation Club content.
Fallout 4 originally launched in November of 2015 and received three main DLC expansions: Automatron, Far Harbor, and Nuka-World. The next-gen update will be available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC when it arrives sometime in 2023.
