The Resident Evil showcase today was jam packed with information regarding upcoming projects from Capcom including Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and Re:Verse.
The showcase does a deep dive into what we can expect from Shadows of Rose, the DLC expansion chapter focusing on Ethan's daughter Rose. The highly requested Third Person Mode was also showcased, featuring a completely different way to experience Resident Evil Village. A new 60 minute demo featuring the Third Person Mode is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. Those who pre-order now will receive the Street Wolf Outfit for Rose when the Gold Edition launches on October 28 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The Macbook version of Village is also set to release on October 28, 2022 along with the Cloud version for Nintendo Switch. The Winters' Expansion will arrive on Switch on December 2, 2022. The Cloud versions of Resident Evil 2 will come to Switch on November 11, 2022, with Resident Evil 3 coming on November 18, 2022 and Resident Evil 7 coming on December 16, 2022.
The delayed multiplayer experience Re:Verse will be available for free for all Resident Evil Village owners. Early access begins on Sunday October 23 and runs until October 25. The full game will launch on October 28 and will support cross play between platforms. Expect future updates including additional survivors, creatures, stages, and challenge missions for Re:Verse. The meat of the show revolved around the highly anticipated remake of the beloved Resident Evil 4. We get to see Leon Kennedy's first encounter with the fearsome Ganados in the new gameplay trailer. Leon can now parry enemy attacks and deliver a finishing blow with his knife. A plethora of iconic characters from the original are seen as well, including Ada, Ashley and Luis. A Deluxe Edition was announced, including costumes, weapons, treasure maps and more. The Collector's Edition features a Leon figure, physical map, art book, and more. Pre-orders are available today on various storefronts. Resident Evil 4 Remake is coming to Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on March 24, 2023.
