Ok, so it seems there is some ridiculous "simulator" game for everything under the sun, ranging from the silly to the absurd to the downright stupid. We've got simulators for running various small businesses, simulators for monotonous driving tasks and other endeavors, there is even the very famous simulators for various farm animals. There is also PowerWash Simulator, which at first glance seems to be one of those in the monotonous category. However, I have it on good authority (that authority being a bunch of people at my day job completely unrelated to Gaming Nexus) who adore this game.
The elements are there and it does makes sense when you put it all together. You have the FPS-lite gameplay of being able to aim the hose, you have zen-like satisfaction of watching the grunge strip away to clean, you have the collected satisfaction of a job well done at level's end. My work colleagues love to come home from a long day, pop on a playlist from their preferred music streaming service, and just hose down something, reset their minds for the rest of evening and find balance again.
And now you can too, on all the consoles as well as PC. Previously PowerWash Simulator was PC and Xbox exclusive through Games Pass or Steam, but now it's coming to the Nintendo Switch and Sony's PS4 and PS5. There is still no firm release date, only a "later this year." But seeing as we're already September that would infer sometime in the next few months.
