I've been interested in this game ever since Randy's preview for PC over two years ago. Hardspace: Shipbreaker a game that really stands on its own with little to really compare it to. There is this calming, zen-like allure of puzzling through massive ship wrecks to salvage that seems balanced by this foreboding dread wondering if that allure could easily fade if the monotony of the task set in. It's one of those things you could easily see going either way and I'm not sure there is a way to figure out which for myself without actually playing it. So I'm especially excited by the latest announcement that the game is launching from its PC origins into orbit around consoles, well next-gen consoles anyway.
Available for pre-order now on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, September 20th will see the game land on both systems. It is also available that same day for free to all Xbox Games Pass subscribers. The game mirrors the PC version with both the campaign and free-play modes available at release.
