Announced back in July, the Biomutant upgrade onto next-gen consoles releases today. Faster loading times, better frame rates, and HDR support are all on tap for next ten players. What's even better, is that old saves and achievements/trophies can carry over as well. And the upgrade is free for owners of last gen copies, and only $40 for new players.
I'm still planning on going back and grabbing the Biomutant Platinum trophy. I did enjoy it as described in my review. While there were narrative elements that rubbed me the wrong way, it's has a good blend of action with an interesting open world, and I imagine traversing that world to clean up the last trophies is the kind of endeavor that should push the better parts of the game now that the main story has run it's course on my save file. And considering I can carry that save and the trophies over onto the next gen console, all the better!
