Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer First Contact Entertainment announced multiplayer, live-service shooter Firewall Ultra for PlayStation VR2 – a sequel to PSVR’s Firewall Zero Hour. A release date was not announced, but the developer shared details and the first trailer for the game in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
Firewall Ultra is set five years after the original game and will include both the locations and contractors players have become familiar with in Firewall Zero Hour. As a proper sequel, it will also feature brand new locations, contractors, and upgraded weapon customization. In addition to the core PvP experience, a PvE mode is being added for the sequel, and players can expect plenty of post-launch content including contractors, maps, and weapons. On the technical front, Firewall Ultra will feature 4K resolution, high dynamic range, eye tracking, completely remade character models & maps, and perhaps most importantly – dedicated online servers.
