It's a weird fact that hunting in games has become one of my favorite gaming activities. I'm not a hunter in real life; never been out in the woods with a bow or a gun, even once. But I'll hunt in Red Dead for weeks on end, and theHunter: Call of the Wild was one of my favorite surprises on Game Pass.
So I'm actually pretty excited for THQ Nordic's Way of the Hunter, which is coming on August 16. Way of the Hunter provides the player with two enormous biomes (55 square miles each) and a big pile of realistic hunting tools and skills. Players can analyze blood spatter, track realistic-behaving animals through the forest, and even rewind a shot to see where it all went wrong. Plus, you get to listen to this spiffy song in the trailer:
Pre-orders for Way of the Hunter are now open. The Standard Edition goes for $39.99, and if you pre-order, you get the Hunter's Pack with three cosmetic items. You can also get the Elite Edition for $54.99, which gives access to the season pass, providing two new region DLC's that effectively double the size of the game. For more information, check out the official Way of the Hunter website.
