It is difficult to believe that it has almost been six years since No Man's Sky launched - and then crashed back to Earth in one of the most spectacular video game flame-outs of all time. But, as we all know, developer Hello Games battened down the hatches and got to work, first fixing the game, and then launching update after update. No Man's Sky is the ultimate video game phoenix, rising from the ashes to become a seminal "forever" game for many, many players.
And now that audience is about to get even bigger - or at least, the existing audience will begin prepping to buy yet another copy of the game - because No Man's Sky is coming to Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco today announced that it is partnering with Hello Games to publish No Man's Sky on Nintendo's handheld, and that release will include every update released over the last six years. Get a new MicroSD card, kids, because this one is going to be enormous.
No Man's Sky will be releasing on Switch on October 7, 2022. A physical PlayStation 5 version will be available on the same day.
