Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Asobo Studio unveiled a massive 12 minute long gameplay trailer for their upcoming game A Plague Tale: Requiem. This is the sequel to their 2019 title: A Plague Tale: Innocence and follows sibling duo Amicia and Hugo as they travel south after escaping their homeland of France in the late 1300s during the Black Plague pandemic.
The first title was mainly played as a stealth game, and it is refreshing to see the sequel add more combat and tools into Amicia's arsenal. We also get to see Hugo utilize his power of rats to see enemies through walls and overwhelm them with hoards of them. During the gameplay trailer, Amicia and Hugo escape from soldiers into a dark quarry, where they must do anything they can to survive.
A Plague Tale: Requiem is coming to Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on October 18, 2022. The game can be pre-ordered now for $49.99 USD. A Collector's Edition was also unveiled for $189.99, which includes a resin statue of Amicia and Hugo.
