Normally I’m not super into clowns, but for Circus Electrique I am willing to make an exception. It’s an upcoming turn-based, tactical RPG set in steampunk Victorian London. A brand new gameplay trailer was released today that “gives you a first-look tour of the greatest show in London, where you’ll have to defend the city from maddened citizens by using unique carnival talents, recruiting new entertainers, correctly utilizing the right abilities, tactics, positioning and much more!” There are 15 playable archetypes in total, like Strongmen, Fire Blowers, Escape Artists, and Clowns. Each has different tactical options in battle. Not only do you need to assemble the most ideal combination of acrobatic artists to fight against over-the-top enemies, but where you place them in order can matter as well.
Circus Electrique will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
