Summer Game Fest had some great games shown and we got to see more of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. One of the new missions was shown where you assault some sort of platform out in the seas. The objective is to clear the platform of enemies as well as disarming a missile.
Needless to say the action gets intense. When the controls for the missile aren't on the platform, the action moves to the ship where the high seas makes the shipping containers on board slide from side to side. Not only do you have to avoid enemy fire but you have to watch from being crushed by shipping containers.
The game looks fantastic and I love the little touches like the way one of the blood splatters on the corner of a wall which wraps around from one of the gunshot wounds that the player inflicts in the enemy. Seeing water over flow from the balcony of the ship is really cool. The water effects are amazing and really adds to the atmosphere.
Look for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on October 28th.
