Square Enix and People Can Fly announced Outriders Worldslayer, a massive update for their third person looter shooter Outriders, today during a reveal broadcast.
Outriders Worldslayer features brutal 1-3 player co-op set in a dark sci-fi universe where you create your own character with 4 powerful classes to choose from. You can begin with the original vanilla Outriders campaign or boost up to level 30 and go straight into Worldslayer content. Players will face off against Ereshkigal, the most deadly Altered ever encountered, in a battle for humanity's survival. The update will feature more endgame content, taking place in the ancient ruins of Tarya Gratar.
“We can’t wait for players to experience WORLDSLAYER. In addition to a whole new story, we’ve introduced a number of new features that really expands and improves on everything players loved about the original game,” said Bartek Kmita, Creative Director at People Can Fly. “WORLDSLAYER includes nearly a hundred new legendary items, higher gear level caps, Apocalypse tier difficulty, Apocalypse gear, and new ways to progress your Outrider with the all-new PAX tree and Ascension levels. Not to mention the Trial of Tarya Gratar, a new endgame experience that’s different from anything we’ve done in OUTRIDERS before”.
Outriders Worldslayer is coming to Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC on June 30, 2022. This is a paid expansion to owners of Outriders but can also be purchased as a standalone for new players. No price has been revealed yet.
